Online workshop series - Youth Leadership 2.0

SKOPJE – The Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO), through its Local Branch Office in North Macedonia, in cooperation with Peace Corps North Macedonia, invites interested young people to participate in an online training aimed at improving skills in the areas of leadership, communication, intercultural dialogue, active youth engagement, volunteering and conflict management.

TRAINING OBJECTIVES:

Strengthening the skills of young people is one of the main domains of the work of the RYCO Local Branch Office in North Macedonia, given the essential role of young people in contributing to the promotion of a culture of tolerance, long-term and sustainable peace. Young people are also in the focus of Peace Corps North Macedonia through both Community Development and English and Inclusive Education programs. Peace Corps North Macedonia is committed to strengthening the life skills of young people, expanding their opportunities for community engagement and sustainable community development.

Therefore, the main goal of this joint training is to contribute to the personal development of young people by sharing knowledge and practical examples for youth leadership.

The online training series will last for six days and participants are expected to gain the following knowledge and skills:

• Basic understanding of the concepts related to the topic of leadership,
• Ability to identify sources of information on volunteering, youth participation and youth activism,
• Skills for effective conflict management,
• Ability to create conditions for effective communication that initiates intercultural dialogue.

            March 29, 30, 31 (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Time: 17:00 – 18:45

Where: Zoom platform

Number of participants: 35

Language of instructions: English language

Open to: Young people (15 – 25 years old) from North Macedonia

Registration:

The call is open to young people who are interested to gain more knowledge on the topic of leadership and be active citizens in their communities.

Upon completion of the training, participants who have participated in at least 4 sessions of the program, in addition to other benefits will receive a certificate of participation.
