Description
SEENPM member organisations seek project proposals aimed at strengthening capacities of civil society organisations (CSOs) to promote media activism and counter disinformation and polarisation in the Western Balkans.
This call for proposals is part of “Our Media: A civil society action to generate media literacy and activism, counter polarisation and promote dialogue”, a regional project supported by the European Union and implemented in the Western Balkans and Turkey.
The call is for CSOs in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Kosovo* and Serbia operating in the fields of media, freedom of expression, digital technologies, education, human rights, or gender equality.
In each country, the budget available for grants totals 46.500 EUR (except for Kosovo, 31.500 EUR). Requested grants must be between 7.000 and 15.500 EUR (except for Kosovo, between 7.000 and 10.500 EUR).
The duration of proposed projects must be between nine and 18 months.
Submission deadlines are:
- Albania: 19 February 2024
- Bosnia and Herzegovina: 19 February 2024
- North Macedonia: 21 February 2024
- Montenegro: 19 February 2024
- Serbia: 25 February 2024
- Kosovo: 25 February 2024
*This designation is without prejudice to positions on status and is in line with UNSCR 1244 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo Declaration of Independence.
