The Tempus Foundation - EPALE National Support Team is organizing the National EPALE Conference on January 31 ,2024, entitled Transversal Skills - Competencies for Lifelong Learning. The conference is being held live at Hotel M, Bulevar Oslobođenja 56a, in Belgrade.
In accordance with the Annual Plan of Adult Education in the Republic of Serbia and priorities in the European Year of Skills, the focus of this year's National EPALE Conference are topics that include initiatives for the development of soft and transferable skills with a focus on critical thinking, media literacy, problem solving and teamwork; consideration of flexible learning paths and innovative practices for the improvement and retraining of adults in order to encourage the development of a lifelong approach to learning, the acquisition of the necessary knowledge and qualifications that would respond to the needs of the labor market, contribute to the personal and professional development of individuals and society as a whole.
At the annual EPALE conference, current professional topics will be presented with the aim of contributing to the improvement of the competencies of practitioners in the field of adult education and their work in institutions that implement educational programs and launch initiatives for improving skills, personal and professional development of adults, inclusion and empowerment of low-skilled adults and adults from vulnerable groups that need support. In addition to the plenary presentations, three interactive workshops are scheduled with the intention that by working in a group, the participants will be encouraged to share experiences, discuss and consider the framework of competencies that describe the concept of lifelong learning. Participants from Serbia who do not reside in Belgrade, and whose application was previously accepted, will have their travel expenses reimbursed in accordance with the procedures of the Tempus Foundation, about which they will be informed in detail after the conference.
