Description
On December 31st, at Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, Tesla Light Gallery will breathe life into the ambiance through a combination of light, sound, and interactive audio-visual art installations.
Tesla has left a legacy that will be showcased through artworks placed in Podgrađe, the tunnel, near the Clock Tower, the park on the Fortress, and in the Planetarium.
The central elements of this year's Tesla Light Gallery rely on the fact that Tesla had photographic memory, executed his inventions directly without drawings, and was an enthusiast of six great works of world literature. Faust (Goethe), Gorski vijenac (Njegoš), The Divine Comedy (Dante), Childe Harold (Byron), Eugene Onegin (Pushkin), and Hamlet (Shakespeare) served not only as inspiration but also as the foundation for creating new artistic pieces.
The artists making the realization of Tesla Light Gallery possible this year include Dr. Monika Bilbija Ponjavić, Miloš Martinov, Tijana Jevrić, Ivana Janošev, and Dutch artists Alex Prooper and Simone van Dam. Tesla Light Gallery will also involve students from the Academy of Arts and the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad.
Specific segments of the Tesla Light Gallery will be realized in the Planetarium in collaboration with the Committee for the Development of the Space Program and the Astronomical Society Novi Sad.
